MODEL TRAINING ACTIVITY OF DAILY LIVING TERHADAP KEMANDIRIAN SELF CARE PADA PENDERITA SPINAL CORD INJURY

Abstract: training activity of daily living, sufficiency self care, KSCE. The aims of this research is to
know the influence of the Activity of Daily Living training (activities in bed, transfer, locomotion,
toileting, dressing, hygiene, and self feeding activities) to the level of independence
of selfcare in patients with Spinal Cord Injury in R.S.O. Prof. Dr. R Soeharso Surakarta. This research
is a quantitative quasi-experimental approach one group pre test and post test design. Sampling was
selected by purposive sampling with the following inclusion criteria are productive age (20–55 years),
type of care (inpatient) with 5 times the maximum 1-hour training duration, long-suffering SCI (up to 8
months), medical treatment (already obtain action from the hospital, for example, never had surgery or
use assistive devices), the location of the lesion (thoracic and lumbar), mininal education could read
and write. Exclusion criteria there are multiple trauma truncus both the skeleton and the extremities,
and no disturbance of consciousness. The results of this study indicate that there are influences Training
Activity of Daily Living (activity in bed, transfers, locomotion, toileting, dressing, personal hygiene,
and feeding activity) to the level of independence of self-care in patients with Spinal Cord Injury in RSO
Prof Dr R Soeharso Surakarta. This is indicated by the value of the test statistic obtained unpaired t test
p-value of 0.001 or less than 0.05 (0,001 ï‚£ 0.05).
