Abstract: Dysmenorrhea, Acupoints. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of
acupuncture therapy at the point Guanyuan (Ren 4), Guilai (St 29) and Sanyinjiao (Sp 6) to pain
polytechnic student dismenorrhoe in Surakarta. Design This study uses a quasi experimental approach
to the study design one Grous pretest - posttest design. The focus of research is the use of acupuncture
points acupuncture points Guanyuan (ren 4), Guilai (st 29) and Sanyinjiao (SP 6). Data were collected
through interviews, observation and questionnaire after acupuncture therapy. Data were analyzed
using t-test and ANOVA. The results showed that acupuncture point Guanyuan (Ren 4), Guilai (St 29)
and Sanyinjiao (Sp 6) effectively reduce pain intensity and duration of menstrual pain with the value of
P = 0.00.
