Abstract: Competence, Clinical Practice KMB-DM I. The purpose of this study was to determine the
achievement of nursing clinical practice KMB-DM I in DIV Nursing Program students Surakarta Health
Polytechnic in clinical learning. This study was conducted to provide an objective explanation in order
to achievement of competence of nursing clinical practice I KMB-DM in the clinic learning DIV Nursing
Student Health Polytechnic Surakarta at a certain time, then this kind of research is descriptive with
crosectional approach. Subjects in this study were students continue DIV Nursing Diploma program
totaling 46 students. The results of this study indicate that the achievement of competence in clinical
nursing practice KMB-DM I of the 46 students who meet the competency targets a total of 39 people
(85%) and who do not meet the target competencies 7 people (15%). Students who did not meet the
target achievement of competence in nursing clinical practice KMB-DM I solution is to look for DM
patients with or without complications brought to the laboratory and each student assess, formulate a
diagnosis, planning of nursing, nursing action and evaluate the results of nursing actions in these
patients.
