Abstract: Acute Myocardial Infarc, Left Chest Pain, Benson Relaxation. According to WHO report, in 2004, the disease of Acute Myocardial Infarc is a primary cause of death in the world (WHO, 2008). Accounted for 7,200,000 (12.2%) deaths was caused by this disease in the world. Acute Myocardial Infarc is the primary cause of death in adults and  the secondary cause of death in low-income countries, with a mortality rate of 2.47 million (9.4%) (WHO, 2008). In Indonesia, in 2002 Acute Myocardial Infarc is a primary cause of death, with a mortality rate of 220,000 (14%) (WHO, 2008). One of nursing treatment for reduce left chest pain is Relaxation Benson. Benson Relaxation is a passive relaxation technique without muscle tension so it is appropriate to reduce pain in Acute Myocardial Infarction. Benson relaxation is the methods of reducing pain that involving the religion so it can make comfort and safety (Mitchell, 2013). The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of benson relaxation on decrease of left chest pain for acute myocardial infarction. The research method use a quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design with control group. The results of this study are a combination of Benson Relaxation and Analgesic Therapy. They are more effective to reduce pain in patients with Acute Myocardial Infarc compared with only analgesic therapy
