Abstract: Betel Leaf, Perineum Wound, Postpartum. Puerperal infection is maternal morbidity and mortality for postpartum. Postnatal care is needed in this period because it is a critical time both mother and infant. Puerperal infection especially infection can occur in the birth canal wound. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of toward perineum wound for postpartum mother. Research methods with quasi-experiment and post test with control group design, the treatment group and the control group using betadine. Sample of this study was puerperal mother with perineum wound. Sampling technique with cluster sampling method at 6 BPM. Univariate and bivariate data analysis using Chi Square test. The results showed that the treatment group using betel leaf 22 (73.3 %) dried perenium wound in 7 days, whereas 8 (26.7 %) perineum wound still wet. Control group using betadine 12 (40 %) dried perineum wounds within 7 days, while 18 (60 %) wounds perineum still wet. Chi Square test p 0.009 and OR 4.12. Conclusions of this Research there is effect of the use of betel leaf in wound perineum healing and 4.12 times more effective than the use of betadine
