Abstrack: Resuscitation Guidelines, The American Heart Association 2010, Peer Teaching, Primary Surveys. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of cardiopulmonary resuscitation guidelines recommended by American Heart Association 2010 dissemination through peer teaching methods on the improvement of primary survey competence among nurses at RSUD Kota Surakarta. This study is comparative experimental study with a pretest-post test design with control group. Statistical test is using t-test. The study involved 30 respondents at RSUD Kota Surakarta. The results of the pretest in the experimental group: 2 respondents (13.3%) earn grades 4, 8 respondents (53.3%) received a score of 6 and 5 respondents (33.3) to get the value of 7. Whereas the control group gained 2 respondents (14.3%) earn grades 5, 7 respondents (50%) received a score of 6 and 5 respondents (35, 7%) received a score of 7. The results of the posttest in the of experimental group 4 respondents (26.7%) earn grades 4, 6 respondents (40%) scored 9 and 5 respondents (33.3%) scored 10. Among controlled group obtained while 4 respondents (26.7%) earn grades 4, 6 respondents (40%) scored 9 and 5 respondents (33.3) scored 10. The average increase in value between the pretest and posttest in the experimental group was 3.00, while the control group was 1.20, t value = 15.370> t table (0.05, df 14) = 1.761 with a 95% confidence level showed tilapia α = 0.00 <0.05. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation guidelines recommended by American Heart Association 2010 dissemination through peer teaching methods is effective on the improvement of primary survey competence among nurses at RSUD Kota Surakarta. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui keefektifan sosialisasi cardiopulmonary rescucitation guidelines berdasar rekomendasi American Hearth Association 2010 melalui metode Peer teaching terhadap peningkatan kompetensi primary survey pada Perawat RSUD Kota Surakarta.
Metode: jenis penelitian ini adalah comparatif experimental study dengan desain pretest-post tes with control group. Uji statistik menggunakan t-test. Penelitian ini melibatkan 30 responden di RSUD Kota Surakarta. Hasil pretest pada kelompok eksperimen: 2 responden (13,3%) mendapatkan nilai 4, 8 responden (53,3%) mendapatkan nilai 6 dan 5 responden (33,3) mendapatkan nilai 7. Sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol didapatkan 2 responden (14,3%) mendapatkan nilai 5, 7 responden (50%) mendapatkan nilai 6 dan 5 responden (35,%7) mendapatkan nilai 7. Hasil posttest untuk kelompok eksperimen: 4 responden (26,7%) mendapatkan nilai 4, 6 responden (40%) mendapatkan nilai 9 dan 5 responden (33,3%) mendapatkan nilai 10. Sedangkan pada kelompok control didapatkan 4 responden (26,7%) mendapatkan nilai 4, 6 responden (40%) mendapatkan nilai 9 dan 5 responden (33,3) mendapatkan nilai 10. Rata-rata kenaikan nilai antara pretest dan postest pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 3,00 sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol adalah 1,20, nilai t hitung = 15,370 > t tabel (0,05, df 14) = 1,761 dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% menunjukkan nila α = 0,00 < 0,05. Sosialisasi cardiopulmunary guidelines berdasar rekomendasi American Hearth Association 2010 melalui metode Peer teaching efektif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi primary survey pada Perawat RSUD Kota Surakarta.
